About Us
Hi! I'm Wendy, the lady with a dog collar obsession!
Inspired by my two beautiful Hungarian Vizsla girls and my love of fabrics, colour and design, I decided to make my own dog collars as I couldn't find what I was looking for in the shops, as well as being functional, strong and safe I wanted something a bit special that would compliment my dogs colour, shape and breed. Something other than the boring same old same old that you find in most pet shops.
So after a few much admired sets that the girls wore many family and friends then put in their orders for bespoke collar and leads and that led to suggestions by many that I should start up a little cottage industry and so...Celtic Collar Company was born!
I love my work. I still get excited when a new order comes in and seeing photos of the lovely variety of dogs wearing the Celtic Collars and leads.

Delivery Information
Most of our items are handmade to order and are dispatched within 2 - 3 working days via Royal Mail delivery , UK delivery has options at checkout, if you live nearby you can save on postage and collect your order (choose this option at checkout)

International Standard for Europe delivery takes between 3 - 5 business days and USA delivery 6 - 7 business days. (delays due to Covid and Brexit are beyond our control!)

Sometimes it can take a little longer if you have requested a ribbon or webbing colour that is on order (you will be notified of this within 24 hours of placing your order.).
Measuring for a Collar
Every dog is unique and it is highly recommended you measure your dog to ensure an accurate and comfortable fit. It is also advisable to check the fitting of your pets’ collar regularly as neck measurements may change, especially important with puppies.
Please ensure your measurements are correct before placing your order.
Measure your pet by one of the following methods:

Use a dress makers tape measure placed around the pets’ neck.

Or use a piece of string or similar if you do not have a dress makers tape & measure the length against a ruler.

Always add 2.5 cm (1") for a comfortable fit

All Celtic Collars are adjustable , your dogs measurement should fall somewhere in the middle of the smallest and largest adjustment stated so that you can adjust up and down.

As with all collars, check for wear and tear regularly and replace when appropriate .
Product Information
WEBBING
All the webbing used is top quality polypropylene as used in horses halters etc and has a very high breaking strength.
BUCKLES
Our CONTOURED side release buckle gives a more comfortable feel against the neck..
Acetal YKK buckles (the strongest ones of their kind available!) are used on the 25mm wide Large sized collars, and very high quality acetal side release buckles on the medium and small sizes, Silver Mirror Finish Metal, Rose Gold or Neo Metal add a touch of glamour as well as being extremely strong. They have all been tried and tested by a variety of breeds and sizes.

D-Rings
The D rings are all welded for extra strength
38 mm ones are a whopping 5mm thick and the 25mm ones are 4mm thick, the diameter obviously decreases with the size of the webbing and therefore with the weight and breed of the dog.
Tri-glides
All collars have adjustable tri-glides.

Ribbon
As you will see, we try to use a variety of ribbons to face the collars and make them look adorable, pretty and sophisticated, we currently use woven jacquard and velvet in polyester or cotton and grosgrain in polyester, all collars and leads can therefore be be washed in the machine and come out looking beautiful. We put ours collars and leads in socks in the machine at 30 - 40 degrees then air dry.
